This kids's book series came from France in 1931 and has been a substantial success through the years. When his mom was killed by a Hunter, Babar is an elephant who endeavors away from the jungle. Babar finds himself in Paris and learning more about civilization. Upon his return, he is crowned king of an African country and has his own kids. The premise of the stories has Babar taking lessons that he discovered while in Paris and teaching his kids right and wrong. There are over 50 books in the Babar series and DVDs from the television variation that aired briefly in the early 1990's.
Tyler: Roland, you seem to have a bleak outlook for innovation in the next couple of years. If you had a crystal ball, what would be your forecast for what technology and Popular book series computer systems will resemble in fifty more years?
I think, more than anything, what I discuss is a function of who I am and what interests me. I am a total romantic-- so I write love, I think in "Obama-esque" couples, you understand. I'm like-- Yeah when I see Michelle & Barack! I believe in justice and the underdog, so I write crime thrillers where the good guy or gal accomplishments in the end. I think that great will conquer evil, hence The Vampire Huntress Legends series. albeit a really graphic representation of the spiritual fight (smile), but I flow my beliefs into a category that's enjoyable for me to compose. I don't think one can actually separate it out. and when author's just write what their representatives pitch, readers can tell. The writing does not have the enthusiasm.

The majority of book lists are workouts in chest pounding by intellectually insecure people. The authors of most of these lists provide books that are not always excellent per se, however books that will, in the viewpoint of these simple minded idiots, make the creator of the list seem smart and well check out.
